Of course, before we even got to the gala, I was forced to realize how much weight I’ve gained in the past few months when I could not fit into a single one of my cocktail dresses. Not a single one. Luckily, a black wrap dress that I had accidentally bought in a size many sizes too big back in the day fit. I feel like the word “luckily” has to be used lightly in this situation.
The wait to become healthy and fit and thin and IN CONTROL of my body? Is definitely over.
