The “Blood Type O” Diet
Encourage Weight Loss:
- Kelp, Seafood, Iodized salt, Liver (Calf), Red meat, Kale, Spinach, Broccoli
Meat & Poultry (2-5oz; Meat: 3-5x/week; Poultry: 3-4x/week):
- Beef, Buffalo, Heart, Lamb, Liver (Calf), Mutton, Veal, Venison, Chicken, Turkey
Seafood (4-6oz; 4-6x/week):
- Bass (all), Cod, Halibut, Perch (all), Pike, Red Snapper, Shad, Sole (no Gray or Dover), Sturgeon, Swordfish, Tilefish, Trout (Rainbow), Yellowtail
Vegetables (1 cup, cooked/steamed: 3-5x/week; 1 cup, raw: 3-5x/week):
- Artichoke (domestic, globe, Jerusalem), Beet greens, Broccoli, Chicory, Collard Greens, Dandelion, Escarole, Ginger, Horseradish, Kale, Kelp, Kohlrabi, Lettuce (Romaine), Okra, Onion (all), Parsley, Parsnip, Pepper (Cayenne, red), Potato (sweet), Pumpkin, Seaweed, Spinach, Swiss chard, Turnip
Oils and Fats (Tbsp; 3-7x/week):
Dairy and Eggs:
- 5 eggs per week allowed. No goose or quail.
Beans and Legumes (1 cup, dry; 2-6x/week):
- Adzuki Bean, Black-Eyed Pea
Breads and Muffins (Breads/crackers: 1 slice, 0-4x/week):
Nuts and Seeds (Nuts: 6-8 nuts, 2-3x/week; Butters: Tbsp, 2-4x/week):
- Flaxseed, Pumpkin Seed, Walnut (Black, English) but AVOID if trying to lose weight
Cereal: No highly beneficial foods. AVOID.
Grains and Pasta: No highly beneficial foods. AVOID.
